Regeneration of Urban Blight with Emphasis on Leisure Spaces; A Case Study: Gheytariyeh Neighborhood, Tehran

Main attention of urban regeneration encompasses plans with economic, environmental and structural goals. Therefore, it is necessary that a shift is gradually made in urban regeneration from mere landscaping towards increase of attention to a broader approach of that such as regeneration approach of basic culture so that financial and economic interests in urban plans are addressed and the route of this investment is specified in parallel with establishment of cultural and art centers and spending leisure times. In addition to capital return, because of providing special attractions for the presence of people, the operated zones are influenced completely. In this regard, it is considered as the motive of urban development in the process of urban regeneration. This research seeks such approach of regeneration for leisure spaces in urban blight of Gheytariyeh. Results showed that the study area was not in situation with respect to land use of leisure. On the other hand, the utilized qualitative method identified criteria to achieve a qualitative, quantitative and desirable balance and access of residents to urban services such as leisure services in terms of approach of regeneration in the urban blight. By performing spatial analyses of west blocks which are the transport nodes of neighborhood entry and are in relation to major arterials of this zone with Gheytariyeh, Dezaship and Tajrish and ruined land uses and some of vacant lands in this section, it can be considered as the optimum zone of spaces for spending leisure times.

Land Increasing from day to day human need and infeasibility of its production in particular make the practice of its operation and management to be undertaken in a suitable manner. In this connection, the attitude toward land use management and rural residential land assignments in particular has been accomplished to appearing too problems from an old and primitive development viewpoint. Therefore, over recent years, the attitude toward land use management and rural residential land assignments in particular has been made from a sustainability viewpoint. In Iran, like some other countries, the government has attempted to assign national wastelands within a residential land plan to the rural people since 1979. In this connection, yet scientical appraisal has been not for rural settlements ranking affected of consequences of rural residential lands assignment. On the other hand, ORESTE method has been introduce as a one of the most applicational ranking methods recently. Therefore, research aim is introduce and use ORESTE method for rural settlements ranking affected of consequences of rural residential lands assignment. According to the study findings of the research done by the description and analysis of 264 rural household questionnaires Foundation in six selected provinces, and 15 questionnaires of the scientical specialized to have weight to 20 indexes, Chahkotah rural, Abtavil and Malekabad are suitable as compared with other rural areas in residential lands assignment process. In addition to, ORESTE method as a criterion for ranking of consequences of rural residential lands assignment is suitable method and minimum wrong.

Abstract This research aims to experiment a quantitative method in urban form studies with a typomorphological approach .This method is originally based on physical density with its more reliable description as a measurable indicator. In this paper after the introduction and a brief look at some former quantitative approaches to urban form through the theoretical framework ; and also the relationship between density and architectural-urban typomorphology , a method (or tool) called the "spacemate" is described in a rather detailed manner .As the case study of this research, some samples from the urban tissues of Tabriz metropolis were chosen to be analyzed with this method. The basic data was then collected and classified ,and the results were placed and reflected on the "spacemate" in order to be analyzed at the final step. Although at the first place this tool is originally designed to be applied as a tool for studying and analyzing the urban forms in the western cities and towns ,and has been examined in a limited scale, but the results of this research (which is the first of its kind in Iran) show that it is also applicable in studying many aspects of urban forms -both descriptively and anticipatively-in Iranian cities, as well as many other urban textures in other similar countries, in presence of sufficient and reliable data.

Spatial analysis of Development the Township of Yazd province with emphasis on cultural factors

Local and regional capabilities and relative advantages of the various factors that influence the economic, social and environmental, is always different and this causes some areas to other areas of excellence. This way understanding the benefits and powers of local and regional development plans are the basic principles and guidelines for the development of the existing explanation makes sense. The category of the most important issues affecting the development of culture in human society that has become popular in recent years and in some areas has led to development of some causes of cultural disparities. The purpose of this study was to estimate and 11-fold Regionalization cities of Yazd province in terms of cultural components that are possible with the use of 21 cultural components. Methodology of the Study, descriptive, and quantitative analysis. In this study, the weighted index of the Delphi technique and data analysis techniques in order to Yazd Township ORESTE-surfacing is applied. The results show that, firstly, the cultural indices in Yazd province is not a significant difference between the distributions of the balanced development of cities in terms of cultural services is considered. And secondly, the findings revealed that Mehriz, Ardkan and Abarkuh Township respectively ranked from one to three developmental, cultural and urban center of the city of Yazd, Yazd Province is located in the lower level.

Examine the association between Climatic indicator and Incidence of Zoonotic Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in Kerman Province of Iran

Leishmaniases are among the most important emerging and resurging vector-borne diseases, second only to malaria in terms of the number of affected people. Leishmaniases are endemic in 98 countries and three territories worldwide and threaten about 350 million people. It is estimated that 14 million people are infected worldwide with about two million new cases occurring each year. The parasite is then transmitted to human hosts by the bite of a Phlebotomine sand fly that was previously fed by biting an infected reservoir. We examine the monthly dynamics of the incidence of this zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis (ZCL) as a function of surface climatic and environmental indicators in region which covering a large area of the semi-arid of southeastern portion of Iran Kerman province. in order to we give the climatic and enviornmental data and use the correlation analysis to investigate the assosiation between this variable. we use cross correlation in lag 4 to 6 month to detect the lag effect of climate factors in ZCL incidence. We find the negative correlation between the climatic factors and number of cases of ZCL incidence in Kerman simultaneously .but with 4 to 3 month lags we finde the strong and significant positive correlation among this variable.

Climatic Feasibility of Southern Shores of Caspian Sea for Development of Beach Tourism

The aim of the present research is study the effects of climate on some activities, in connection with coastal tourism development in southern shores of Caspian Sea. In this regard, the 25-year meteorological data (1986-2010) of eight synoptic stations were used. In order to evaluate coastal resting feasibility the BCI was used and key & Vamplew model was applied to assess of sport tourism in three fields as parachute, football and Athletics (track). Validation & Comparison of thermal comfort for Mentioned activities & Analyzing of Climatic conditions for coastal development activities was conducted with wind chill index. Analyses based on the outputs of CTIS model and the zonation area was performed by IDW method. The results obtained from the BCI index showed that the appeal of Eastern shores for coastal resting compared to be more than the west one. Based on BCI and wind chill index it was found that the month of June, July and August for coastal resting are more suitable. In contrast, the western shores have better feasibility for windy sport. Although the extent of favorable areas for parachute sports on the eastern shores are higher, but the climate potential on the Western Coast is more favorable. However, the western coast compared to the eastern one have more favorable climatic conditions for the creation of coastal complexes. In general, due to Inappropriate temperature, wind speed and increase foggy, in the months of December, January and February there aren’t favorable conditions for mentioned activities in the western parts.

Systemic analysis of the role of geographical factors in the formation of local government in Iran

The political organization of space in Iran is affected, foremost, by the geographical features. The present study has explored the role of geographical features in the formation of local governments in Iran and because of the importance systemic thinking approach in investigating and analyzing the topics and issues of the management, geography and political science fields, the present study is conducted using this approach. Method of the study is descriptive, analytic and inferential and quantitative and qualitative approaches are used in collecting the field data. In the quantitative part, the ideas of forty experts in the field of local government were sought and cited. In the qualitative part, seven scholars in the domain of local government were selected based on the snowball sampling method and were interviewed. In order to examine the effect of the geographical aspect in the formation of local governments in Iran and to prioritize the extent of effects of each of the factors associated with the geographical aspect, the researchers have used the independent samples t-test and Friedman test in SPSS software, respectively. In order to design and draw the cause and effect diagrams based on the systems thinking approach, Vensim software was used and the interview method is utilized to complete the final model. The results of the research indicate that the effects of geographical factors in the formation of local governments in Iran is medium to high and the status of this aspect for constructing local governments in Iran is rather desirable.

Urban growth simulation in a sustainable way has always been one of the challenges in the field of urban management and planning. One of the most widely used models in this field is cellular automata which has considerably attracted the attention of urban researchers in recent decades. On the other side, previous studies show that the output of conventional cellular automata model is sensitive to cell size and neighboring structure and varies as these parameters were changed. For this purpose, vector based cellular automata models were introduced which in their evolution period managed to overcome the limitations in conventional CA model and which gave better results. The purpose of this study is to simulate urban growth through vector based cellular automata and to illustrate urban growth in a parcel structure with a high spatial resolution. In this model, neighborhood structure is defined as an external buffer from parcel edges and on the basis of a weighted function of distance, area and land use of cadastral parcels. The presented model has been implemented and analyzed using the data of the 22nd municipal region of Tehran. The obtained results indicate the capability of the model in assessing the interactions of urban parcels with different shapes and distances from each other and also illustrate urban growth in an acceptable proportion of different urban land use arrangements. Since it is possible in this model to allocate different urban land uses, it can be used in spatial decision making and planning of urban land uses.

geoarchaeological surveys are the efficient way to discover the environmental features of ancient settlements at the time of their establishment. . The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of environmental factors in the site selecting of the prehistoric settlements in Varamin plain. In the archaeological view, the plains located in the southern foothills of central Alborz Mountains represent the Tehran plain and Varamin plain is laid in south east of Tehran plain, on the alluvial sediments of Jajroud River. After studying the environmental features of Varamin plain, eight characteristics of the natural environment, including the impact of geomorphologic features, geology, climate, vegetation, slope, land use and access to soil and water resources have been investigated and fuzzy logic was used in order to provide an environmental capabilities plain zoning map to establish settlements in Varamin plain. Results showed that the predominant Varamin plain’s prehistoric settlements are sited in areas with the good and very good environmental capability for establishing settlements and the most of these places are located on the central parts of Jajroor fan. Being located on alluvial deposits, suitable soil for farming and pottery, gentle slope, convenient access to streams, sufficient distance from the apex of the alluvial fan and being safe from flood risk And having better weather than the southern part of the alluvial fan are such factors That create suitable environmental conditions in these areas.
